15.11.2006:

Dear Pavlina,
Long time ago I promised to You some photos of plants planted in
my garden which i bought by your shop a few yrs ago (it will
be...3 I think...)
So...:
On the first photo GREAT Yucca gloriosa- grows rapidly, has not
flowered yet, and gave plenty of "children" down to the stem. It
was particulary burned (a few leaves) and had particulary roted
stem after last (-34C) winter. It was freezing all over 3 months!
Brrr. It is protected every year by winter fleece and old maple
leaves on the base. I always give some protection from snow and
rain- this year it will be...a roof bulid from old wood:)
On the secon photo: JUBEAE! It's incredible palm...survived that
ugly winter under protection of maple leaves and winter fleece. It
was totally under the leaves. Leaves of Jubaea were burned in 1/2
of their lenght. Now, in November it looks like You see- great:)
And fresh grow of Cordyline australis on the third photo- I will
see how it will survive only under rain protection....
On the fourth photo- next revelation- totally unharmed last
winter Trachy 'Szeged' from You. It is planted in very sheltered
position, and I think it helps very much...
Right to trachy, over opuntias- small Yucca baccata from You under
the leaves of kiwi- we'll see if it will survive next winter...
Best greetings from Śrem!
Piotr.
